You can win $500 to your favorite restaurant! To enter, post a photo of your meal, tag the restaurant, and use the hashtag #gratefultablesweepstakes. If you win, we’ll give you a $500 to that restaurant! You eat, our treat.

It’s a month-long campaign in November to promote dining in California. We are grateful for neighborhood restaurants and the people who make them so special. Let’s support them!

What is Restaurants Care?

The Grateful Table Dine Out is raising awareness and donations for the nonprofit Restaurants Care relief fund for struggling restaurant workers. From natural disaster, to illness, and yes even a pandemic, Restaurants Care serves hope to those who make our meals possible. Your donations power direct financial assistance and services to restaurant workers right here in California.

Where should I dine?

Dine at any restaurant in California. Support your neighborhood restaurants all November – dine out to help out! These featured restaurants have a donate option to benefit the Restaurants Care relief fund. So if you dine at a featured restaurant, you’ll be able to do even more good.

What is Restaurants Care?

The Grateful Table Dine Out is raising awareness and donations for the nonprofit Restaurants Care relief fund for struggling restaurant workers. From natural disaster, to illness, and yes even a pandemic, Restaurants Care serves hope to those who make our meals possible. Your donations power direct financial assistance and services to restaurant workers right here in California.

Is there a minimum time commitment?

Nope! The Grateful Table Dine Out runs all of November. You can choose to run the campaign and/or have a guest donate option for one day, one week, the whole month, etc. It’s up to you and what’s right for your restaurant.

How much does it cost?

Participating in The Grateful Table Dine Out is free! There’s absolutely no registration fee. If you decide to add a guest donate button or round up, there is no minimum donation requirement. Donations big and small have a tremendous impact on the lives of the people we serve.

How can my restaurant get $500?

Diners can win $500 to YOUR restaurant! To enter, they simply need to post a photo of their meal, tag your restaurant, and use the hashtag #gratefultablesweepstakes. If they win, we’ll buy them a $500 from YOUR restaurant! They eat, our treat. No purchase necessary. No purchase necessary. How do I add a donate option or round up?

Contact your POS account representative to add a donate option (this is fairly routine). You can choose to add a donate option (suggested amounts $1, $2, $5) or round up. Here is a helpful guide from Olo.

After the campaign, simply mail in a check for the donations. Checks should be made out to “The California Restaurant Association Foundation” (Restaurants Care is a fund powered by the nonprofit CRAF) and mailed to:

Where does the money go?

Restaurants Care provides direct relief in the form of grants to restaurant workers facing a hardship right here in California. We cover basic needs like groceries and rent while people are unable to work due to illness, injury, natural disaster, death in the family, and more. How can my restaurant be listed on your website?

Fill out this form to get started and we’ll take it from there. All restaurants that have a guest donate button or round up will be highlighted on our website.

What type of marketing support do you offer?

We are working with a PR firm to promote The Grateful Table Dine Out all November throughout California. Restaurants can download free, customizable marketing assets to promote their participation. Restaurants with a guest donate button or round up will be featured on our website and promoted on social media @Restaurants_Care.

How do I enlist the help of my team?

We have shift notes you can use to get your crew invested in The Grateful Table Dine Out. You can download them from our free DropBox of marketing materials. This dining campaign is unique in that it’s raising awareness and donations for the Restaurants Care relief fund. It’s something your crew can rally around.

Where do I send donations when the campaign ends?

Donations collected by your restaurant are submitted via a check made out to “The California Restaurant Association Foundation” (Restaurants Care is a fund powered by the nonprofit CRAF) and mailed to:
