What is The Grateful Table Dine Out?

It’s a month-long campaign in November to promote dining in California. We are giving guests a reason to visit their favorite restaurants – all in gratitude for the restaurant workers who make those meals possible.

What can I do to help out?

Order food from your neighborhood favorites in November! It’s that simple. We’re asking people to show restaurants in California some love. Make a plan to dine out to help out.

If you’re able to do more, pitch in to the Restaurants Care relief fund to help struggling restaurant workers.

What is The Grateful Table Dine Out?

It’s a month-long campaign in November to promote dining in California. We are giving guests a reason to visit their favorite restaurants – all in gratitude for the restaurant workers who make those meals possible.

How much does it cost?

Participating in The Grateful Table Dine Out is free! There’s absolutely no registration fee. If you decide to add a guest donate button or round up, there is no minimum donation requirement. Donations big and small have a tremendous impact on the lives of the people we serve.

Is there a minimum time commitment?

Nope! The Grateful Table Dine Out runs all of November. You can choose to run have a guest donate option for one day, one week, the whole month, etc. It’s up to you and what’s right for your restaurant.

How do I add a donate option or round up?

Contact your POS account representative to add a donate option (this is fairly routine). You can choose to add a donate option (suggested amounts $1, $2, $5) or round up. After the campaign, simply mail in a check for the donations. Checks should be made out to “The California Restaurant Association Foundation” (Restaurants Care is a fund powered by the nonprofit CRAF) and mailed to:

Where does the money go?

Restaurants Care provides direct relief in the form of grants to restaurant workers facing a hardship right here in California. We cover basic needs like groceries and rent while people are unable to work due to illness, injury, natural disaster, death in the family, and more. Fill out this form to get started and we’ll take it from there. All restaurants that have a guest donate button or round up will be highlighted on our website.

What type of marketing support do you offer?

We are working with a PR firm to promote The Grateful Table Dine Out all November throughout California. Restaurants can download free, customizable marketing assets to promote their participation. Restaurants with a guest donate button or round up will be featured on our website and promoted on social media @Restaurants_Care.

How do I enlist the help of my team?

Where do I send donations when the campaign ends?

Donations collected by your restaurant are submitted via a check made out to “The California Restaurant Association Foundation” (Restaurants Care is a fund powered by the nonprofit CRAF) and mailed to:
